"Mimi" is such a precious little sleeping angel; she is a mini baby Jasmine. In fact, I made her to be Jasmine’s baby doll but fell in love and knew I had to make her separately. She was created from the Katie sculpt by Marita Winters. She is barely 10 inches in length with bent legs and weighs only 14 oz. Although she is not a Limited Edition, she comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
Mimi was made with gentle loving care, painted with Genesis Heat Set Paints (GHSP) which are baked to cure the paint. She has been painted in African American skin tones with mottling, veining and blushing to develop depth and realism. Her skin is somewhat blotchy as you would expect any brand new baby to be. When you pick her up be sure to support her head, as it is floppy as any Newborn baby would be. Be sure to whisper so she does not wake up. She has sweet baby lips.
Mimi has 3/4 arms and full legs. Her soft doe suede body is weighted with fine glass beads and silky soft fiberfill. She will snuggle perfectly into your hands to feel secure. Her tiny little finger and toe nails have been tipped and sealed.
Mimi has very, very dark brown (almost black) hair which has soft curls. Her hair has been micro-rooted 1-2 hairs per follicle; it is a mix of Delta Dawn and A Plus Mohair to give her the gorgeous head of hair that she has. Her eyelashes are also micro-rooted. All hair is sealed with a clear glue inside the head, it can be gently styled per the Care Instructions that come with her.
Mimi is dressed in her gorgeous pink lacy gown and pink bowed headband, She is wrapped in her pink swaddle blanket. She also has a delicate little pink sweet pea gown, crocheted hat, and her purple turtle, SLRN Birth Certificate, SLRN Care Instructions and COA.
